Important Software Updates

We’ll be rolling out a software update on Friday 8/12/2022, which will include significant changes to the Employee Benefit Plans screen. It will now include four tabs, outlined below:

Benefit Plans

Here, you’ll be able to manage an employee’s active and pending benefit plans (excluding deferred comp). A new addition to this tab is the employer per pay amount for each benefit.

Deferred Comp

Information for retirement plans will be stored and edited here.

Benefit Salary Overrides

This new feature will allow an override to the salary used in benefits calculations. You might benefit from this option if you have commission-based employees, or if your plans calculate on the previous year’s W2 wages.

Tobacco Use 

This tab will track tobacco use for employees and their dependents for cases in which the plan rates are calculated based on tobacco use.

Although the changes will notably affect the organization of these items, you will still have all the same capabilities as before in managing benefit plans. Please reach out to your service team with any questions or concerns. We’d like to make the transition as smooth as possible.
